Royce , also known as "Royce The Voice" is a strong performer with an incredible energy. Royce can sing everything from ballads to big band, rock to rap and everything in between. His repertoire includes Italian, Hebrew, German and Spanish. With his smooth, warm & tender voice he delivers in classic R & B style.
Born and raised in North Carolina with a degree in music from Mars Hill College, Royce has toured with The Duke Ellington Orchestra, sung on many commercials and has recorded his first CD on Xylon Records. He currently sings the National Anthem for the Detroit Pistons. Royce is the featured singer for “A Great Time In Detroit” campaign and commercial for the city of Detroit’s Visitors and Convention Bureau which can be seen nationwide. He was, for several years, the driving voice of the fabulous Simone Vitale Band featured on the new CD “Goin’ Home ‘Round Midnight” with The Four Tops & Symphony Orchestra, a collaboration of smooth, jazzy love songs.
With his powerful vocal performance, Royce brings the audience to their feet. At his most recent CD release concert at The Detroit Opera Theater his arousing rendition of “Since I Fell For You” brought the house down. While receiving an overwhelming standing ovation it became obvious that the audience was not only pleased with his captivating voice, but also mesmerized by his seductive stage presence. Royce is a must see, must hear artist that will undoubtedly take your breath away.
New beginnings are on the horizon now as Royce has emerged as a solo artist again and is spreading his wings to bigger and even more exciting performances .He can now be seen and heard doing shows and venues across the region, including the North American International Auto Show for GM, the Cadillac division. He has also teamed up with singer Jennifer Christiansen, and together, with some of the best musicians around, have everything from a trio to full band, featuring Jazz Standards and Big Band to Pop and R & B.
